Only a few hours away from home and I am glad to say The Good Graces mini tour was a hit. We loved New Orleans and Checkpoint Charlie's and hopefully we can visit both soon again. I think I could easily dwell there for a summer taking in the beauty and charm of that great city. And I enjoyed the band we shared the bill with from Baton Rougue called Polly Pry. I recommend you look them up.
The show in Austin for El Sapo's sxsw day party was amazing. I have missed this incredible town and I will do my best to not be a stranger to the scene there. Reconnecting with old friends and making new ones always warms my heart especially over tasty burgers. The other bands blew me away, I am so honored to have shared a show with Be Forest from Italy, Hinds from Spain, Wilsen from Brooklyn in NYC, Honey Blood from Scotland, and Emmy the Great from the UK.
My adventures with The Good Graces show me the best there is in being a middle class musician. Working hard with dedicated musicians brings me the greatest satisfaction. Thank you so much Kim, John, and Rob for having me on this excursion. I'm definitely open to do it all again.
On to nerdkween business....
In less than 24 hours I will be performing at Ladyfest. I'll be at Mammal Gallery at 5pm, I invite everyone to come out. So excited that Ladyfest has returned and that I get to be a part of it, what a dream come true. If you see me, please come and say hi.
